a tough pill to swallow is that people will hurt you. dehumanize you in so many ways and not feel badly about it. they won’t feel a thing actually. they’ll move on with their day, their week, their life, happy as ever but there you are, crushed. loss of appetite. loss of sleep.
Mature relationships are not about getting it right every single time. They are about embracing the fact that each person has a lot of growing to do and loving each other through the process. You both handle conflict by trying to understand each other instead of being combative.
