@bonstewart A4.2: It's important to note these same algorithms can also be used to identify struggling students and give preferential treatment and more resources to the students whom are predicted to better succeed in the future. Its scary to think something that's intended for good.. (1/2)

I wish there were more public servants that served the general public, instead of their own self-interest!

It's really nice to not have to search for things when I actually need something but there are other times where it just feeds my compulsive nature and I end up with stuff I don't need

Our society has slowly become desensitized to ads and to the fact that they are collecting our data and using it against us

@scottyp451 @bonstewart Algorithms have both a positive and negative impact on the hiring process. They are used to discover and inform potential applicants whom may not have seen the job posting but at the same time I don't believe they should be used to rate candidates whom have applied.

The algorithm is listening.... and I'm not a fan!
