I am not giving eight bucks to Elon so I can be doxed in the future. Keeping it safe means, I need to keep it short. Perceived extremism might be illusory!
Every time I see Israel trending, my heart skips a beat, and almost immediately I find myself asking, "What have those motherfuckers done today?" Yes, I know, it's an opinion, biased and filled with preconceptions. Call it what you want, but this is the image I have of Israel today.
Why is that? Am I an antisemite? I have known hundreds of Israelis, some of whom I consider my friends. I have explored Israel from Ashdod to Rosh Hanikra, from Tel Aviv to Yam ha-Melah. I have savored the food, listened to the music, experienced genuine Jewish hospitality, delved into books, and even tried to learn the language (although my skills are limited). I have read the works of Jewish Rabbis, folklore, history books, Holocaust literature, religious texts, and more. So while I don't claim to be an expert, I can confidently say that I am not unfamiliar with this culture.
Nevertheless, my relationship with Israel is one of love and hate. Why is that? Because today, as is the case in many parts of the world, power in Israel is held by foolish sadistic maniacs. People that lack, not intelligence or shrewdness, but wisdom. Israel is governed by a militaristic plutocracy that acts in an Anti-Jewish manner. Though their intentions may be focused on self-preservation, their methods are brutal, inhumane, unjust, and above all, unwise. The forefathers in whose name they claim that piece of land would be their staunchest opponents, as my understanding tells me that they stood for justice and believed in God.
In my perspective, the primary short-term casualty of Israel's policies is the average Israeli citizen, who has been subjected to indoctrination and transformed into a war golem when it comes to the Palestinian issue. However, the responsibility does not lie with the masses but rather with the elites, as they wield the power to shape and manipulate public opinion and policy. In the long run, like any organism experiencing cellular decay, the true victim will not be just any Israeli, but the Jewish nation itself. That fateful day will mark the transformation of the Promised Land into a mere place and the Chosen People into a relic of history.
Am I antisemitic? Precisely in the same way that any Israeli who opposes senseless oppression, violence, terror, and death would be.
All of the above do not exempt the Palestinians from their faults, but that is not the subject today.
