Hello boys and girls of the bounce, this week is dedicated to the real lovers and yearners among us 🥰
In this episode, we discuss rom-coms, the brilliant marketing behind Call of My Life, the cast’s dangerously good chemistry on set and of course, we solve some very serious dilemmas of the heart.
New episode out tomorrow! 🫶🏾
Africa is the most diverse place on earth. Let her do a DNA test; it won't lie. She will be surprised to learn where she really is from. My wife, who had always thought she was 100% Ghanaian, realized that she is only about 18% Ghanaian based on her genes. She is 40% Togolese, 10% Nigerian, and is even 1% Jewish. The rest of her genes are Senegalese and Central African. This lady could be from all those places she is claiming and won't know. Migration has been happening for ages. Mekwenu is ancient.
am i the only one who doesn’t mind spoilers? 😭
like you can literally tell me how it ends, i don’t care.
i even go looking for spoilers before i watch the movie/show.
"The first time my tailor charged me 80k was last year and I argued with her... A lot of people feel behind in a race that is not there, a race that doesn't really exist."

Meet our guests, Christiana a korope(Danfo/bus) driver and Omolara, her conductor.
From this intro alone, you can already tell we had a lot of fun on set! 😄
If you’ve ever been curious about what it’s like to be a female driver or bus conductor in a crazy city like Lagos, the challenges, or even why any woman would even choose this male-dominated space then you don’t want to miss tomorrow’s episode!
We get into some dilemmas and also discuss women’s rights in light of some really disturbing stories that have been shared online lately .
See you tomorrow!
That one of the great tragedies of life is the paradox of wisdom and age. As you become wiser about life and the world, you have less time to apply it yourselt. So you try to pass it down, but some things just can't be heard in youth. It only comes through the experience of living. And then the cycle repeats: you remember that someone tried to give you some gems and you didn't listen, so you try to do the same. It's a somewhat cruel time loop of sorts, and I ponder over the design sometimes.
First time I entered bus in Manchester, I saw an elderly man inside the bus with his wheelchair. I was thinking maybe he had aids commuting with him. When he got to his stop, he pressed the stop bell, moved his wheelchair and rode to the exit at the front.
The bus driver made sure to stop close to the kerb. I was still wondering how he would get down because the bus was higher than the kerb. The next things, I saw the driver press a button and the bus lowered down to the exact level of the kerb and the man rode out with his wheelchair.
Instantly, I cursed Nigeria like 7 times immediately. My head was all over the place. Highest level of consideration I’ve seen a society provide for its citizens.
You don’t want to take responsibility for the friction that comes with movement. You want to eat well but you don’t want to cook, you want to be healthy but you don’t want to exercise. You want a better job but you don’t want to apply. You just want to want, you don’t want to do.
This week, The Bounce is Into Clubbing and we’re outsideeeee with our special guests Eunice a.k.a Demure Waitress and Dami a.k.a Celebrity Waitress!
