@EdKrassen A phone call? He said, you should review this. FIFA said “they ALREADY ARE” how is that an issue, on any level. If Belgium called to unsuspened, and fifa said “it’s ALREADY under legal review” I see ZEROOOO PROBLEM
FIFA President Gianni Infantino:
“I have seen the public comments regarding the decision of the independent FIFA Disciplinary Committee related to the suspension of Folarin Balogun, and I would like to reiterate a fundamental principle of FIFA’s governance.
“FIFA’s judicial bodies are independent. They operate autonomously, apply the FIFA Disciplinary Code, and decide cases based on the applicable regulations and the specific facts before them. Their independence is essential to the credibility and integrity of football, and this must always be respected.
“Yes, I regularly discuss matters related to the FIFA World Cup with the President of the United States, and on this matter, I did receive a call from President Donald Trump, just as I receive calls from heads of state, government officials, football stakeholders and business executives from around the world on many different issues. During our conversation, I explained that there was an ongoing legal process involving FIFA’s independent judicial bodies and that the case would be decided in due course by the competent bodies. That is how FIFA’s system works, and it is a principle that I will always uphold.
“I read the decisions of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee when they are issued. Sometimes I am surprised by them. Sometimes I agree with them, and sometimes I disagree.
“What I always do, however, is respect those decisions and the autonomy of the bodies that make them. Whether we personally like a decision or not is irrelevant. Respect for independent institutions and the rule of law is what protects the integrity of our competitions and the credibility of FIFA at all times.”

@BosniaNTBall That’s banana land to think “I asked for a review” would hold in court for “government interference” when FIFA took the call, reviewed and made THEIR decision. You lost, maybe you can call to be put back into the tournament.
@BosniaNTBall You’re telling me that, FIFA!! Takes the call? Reviews the decision and makes the decision THEN says, oh you shouldn’t have called? That’s what you’re saying right? Must not have been playing with FIFA long enough.
@StanUsmnt The fact that you said “if they win” is the problem. It should be tainted regardless right. That’s the point? Why would it not be tainted if they lose? You can’t view it only one way
@Alonso_GD So let’s get this straight. You think after Trump makes a call about the decision to fifa. FIFA takes the call, suspends the card. Is THEN going to say, oh your government got involved? You’re bonkers and live in banana land. FIFA has been and always will be corrupt. He’ll play
@DanisMCFC You must’ve missed all the people died from building stadiums because of poor working conditions mandated by the god and savior, fifa. This is on fifa. NOT the players, not trump for asking for a review. FIFA’s job is to review. They reviewed…
@thecyrusjanssen You’re crazy bones mcgeee to think FIFA.. yes the FIFA, is the least corrupted organization out there. it’s the Teams fault for the decision? Make the call all you want. FIFA still decided what they decided. That’s on FIFA. There was noise from every direction. But FIFA choice.
@IranArmySpoofX Let’s get this straight (pun intended) you are offended because they have to stay in a hotel in Mexico? But think it’s okay to charge a toll and send missles at cargo/oil ships in an international waterway.. got it. That’s not some freshwater lake. Just straightening that out.
@MatthewMKE98 He hasn’t played a full season in his entire career. I know injuries happen, but as a packers fan, I would rather pay a number 2 who can play all the games. Vs. a borderline 1 for 3/4 of a season. Let him collect 30m on the bench for a different team.
@clayharbs82 give Caleb props, but for me. It looks like he got caught deciding between burden and Moore last second. Neither knew with one it was for. Just the way I see it.
@jimcavale Whatever happened to “student”- athlete. Why not bring back, probabaly what never left, transfer ties in that you have to sit out 1 full calendar year from sports the day you transfer, and if you sit out, that can void any NIL contacts. I truly believe less would transfer
@TheLombardiLeap@BruceIronsNFL 2 and 10, 3 minutes left in the game. Bears 21 yard line. You take 0 extra seconds off the clock. Use a timeout, delay of game. 0 points. And don’t make the bears burn the last timeout. That’s enough for me. Endzone daggers isn’t the right call there.
