"there is only one protected bike lane โ marked by paint, construction cones or barrels or structures like Jersey barriers โ in Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan and East Boston, though eight more have been proposed."

My last name means money, so I made a website that asks people to send me money.
No product. No service. No roadmap.
Just buttons with ambition.

"Inspired" by what happened to #biketwitter and wanting a place to catch up on urbanism/bike/pedestrian news from everywhere I created this news aggregator platform focused on urbanism.

@wickedbilladams@mali8ooyah@OnlyInBOS No they're not fined and first responders near universally say they approve of bike lanes because they cause less horrific accidents WHICH THE FIRST RESPONDERS HAVE TO RESPOND TO and the first responders can use the traffic free bike lanes.
You are wholly and completely wrong.
@OnlyInBOS Back in 2008, long before any of these bike lanes, I was driving aka sitting in traffic and saw a grandma with a stroller pass by me. That's when I asked myself WTF am I doing in this box spending five figures to go slower than a 80 year old and started biking as/like an adult.
@real_Wolff @MoormanEvan @OnlyInBOS Since you mention economically stupid, accommodating motorists is by far the absolute dumbest thing a government can spend money on. Pedestrians and bicyclists spend more at local businesses, cost magnitudes less in infrastructure and cause far less negative externalities.
This is the Boston motorists want. A city literally strangled by roads, its residents drowning in fumes blocked off from the sun by a fortress of motordom.
DRIVE OR DIE they shout as they kill the city they claim to love, all to traverse a tiny city that you can walk across.
Been trying this tip for the past couple weeks and it works PHENOMENAL! Took a video tonight of cars going fully into the middle lane to pass. Complete game changer for biking at night and all my bikes will have 2 front lights from now on.

Fare-free public transit actually saves money overall in the long-term while also providing a better service!
Imagine not having to spend money on fare gates, AFC, fare enforcement, fare processing and station designs that keep people out. #mbta

The @Oregonian uses this image whenever they mention Kroger in an article and I'm just really curious what the deal is with this dude.
Note the NY Yankees hat with the Boston Red Sox shirt. WTF?
I need answers.
If anyone comes across this beauty on Merrimack Valley, Boston, or NH Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist, please send me the link.
Picture it w/o baby, original neon tape, and maybe bags & baby seat -- and look for the "Good Luck")
@kgilnack@EdforBoston Any politician that doesn't suggest getting cops out of detail duty isn't serious. Professional flaggers are cheaper and better at the work. Absolute no-brainer which makes me think BPD must threaten any politician considering it.
@Kimberl59522301 @kgilnack@EdforBoston You're free to create parking on the property you own. The car specific taxes you pay do not cover the costs of creating parking and roads, at best they cover 50% and the rest is subsidized by everyone else. You welcome, no pay your fair share or stop whining about the handouts.
Leave it to @PBOTinfo to harden a bike lane with a concrete curb and somehow make it worse by putting the curb inside the bike lane. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ

@bartsampson6@LauraGMitchell The @LoudBicycle is very loud and works great for stuff like this. Doesn't make vehicles yield every time but 90% of the time it does. Also great for alerting cars who clearly aren't paying attention and didn't see you.
