Looking at levels not just relative recent performance, I’d describe the Canadian economy this way

— high median wealth
— high employment rate
— above average labour ratio share
— high average annual wages (but stagnated post COVID)

That comes at cost of expensive housing and low disposable income

So we are good at creating wealth and putting into pay cheques somewhat more equitably than others.

But some basic necessities are too expensive to buy what we need and want.
