@AlexGoldenNBA Most of it is coming from same fanbase that crashed out over the Pacers taking Reggie Miller over Steve Alford. Take it for what it's worth.
@LanceMcAlister Lol no. I know you've been critical of the organization. It just seems silly to call out the manager for moves/non-moves when the moves you've criticized the last 2 days had nothing to do with the Reds losing. When you score 3 runs in 2 games, that ain't the manager's fault.
@LanceMcAlister This team's biggest problem is it can't hit, score, or play fundamental baseball. Who selects the players? Who develops them? Shouldn't they know how to play fundamental baseball before they get to Tito? He has a track record of success. The organization doesn't.
@JMV1070 Blowing a 29-pt lead should trigger an automatic coach firing unless it can somehow be proven the players tried to sabotage the coach, which clearly wouldn't happen in the freaking NBA Finals.
@mikekitchel Many of our major interstate projects are rewards to state politicians' road contractor buddies & are make-work programs - often in areas that don't need the upgrades nearly as badly as smaller city road projects, which aren't as lucrative so they go underfunded and unaddressed.
@LanceMcAlister I was 15 in 1990. Enjoyed it immensely but assumed there would be more. Given their recent history at the time it made sense. I used to go to 8-10 games/yr. Now I go to 1. I only watch on TV when nothing else is going on. They're casual about winning. I'm casual about my fandom.
@LanceMcAlister Agreed. The issue is lack of organizational depth. Strong orgs are able to weather things like this. Whenever this sort of adversity hits the Reds, it hits them harder b/c they don't have a strong enough organizational talent pipeline to overcome it & ownership won't buy help.
@walkeri141 Surprised no one has yet mentioned 1988 Sweet 16 loss to a K-State team the Boilers beat by 30 during the regular season. That was the best Purdue team I've seen outside of 2024.
