@ggraham I think they bought the parcel in the early 90s when midtown wasn’t the marquees address it is today and then opened it in 2001. The building itself was a consolidation of multiple headquarters. I’m just glad it’s well designed and not a Richard B Russell style eyesore.
@ggraham I know some folks that work there. Lots of research to guide financial policy (surveying business owners, measuring economic indicators, etc). They also oversee all the banks in their region to ensure balance sheet risk, etc. Not to mention the clearance house role.
