@TexansCommenter Right on, same here. I think CJ was staying regardless, but it’s another good thing to do to make him happy and hopefully help in negotiations next offseason. Show some good faith from the team, because I’ve seen people ask why CJ should want to resign. This helps that imo
@TexansCommenter I have not watched any of the game so far so let me preface that first…but simply looking at the box score, should Baker be happy he signed that extension? Small sample, bad defense, but I might wish I didn’t offer that if I’m Jason Licht and looking at an overall reshuffling.
@TexansCommenter Recency bias I know, but given how they play this recent draft class, I’d want to do it for the mere fact that we’d have an impact player right away. But idk Boutte is the counter argument.
@willyboyiam@WillKunkelV That’s completely fine, but shouldn’t you be interviewing others too? I’d imagine it’s good to have some if nothing else but to improve your interviewing process overall before meeting with your desired candidates. My issue is if the process isn’t starting at all for a month.
@NHastrosFan@WillKunkelV Suing is not the end of the world. People sue others and still do business later. However, that was NOT the intent of my tweet. The lack of urgency bothers me. I don’t think he’s coming back. But not starting the process for a month is malpractice. Jeff was a hot button example.
@sidelinesarah I hope he does! I loved Mixon. I hope they look stupid. We hung in there all that time and didn’t try bringing him back on a vet minimum just to see if there was any reward for our patience. Now some other team will benefit without the investment
