Tough enough for the Arctic, tough enough for you! Really cool to see all these Arctic use-cases lately. Read about some of the other stories we've covered here 🔽

What's a Cryologger? An @arduino based data logging and telemetry platform constructed using off-the-shelf components that's inexpensive, modular, and user-friendly? Read the full user success story!

@DrMikePJ I reviewed the documentation and my main concern is with the -20°C temperature rating. Our instruments are regularly exposed to -40°C in the winter, so I’d be a bit worried about reliability.
@adamgarbo found a major speed up event this August in the GPS records from Nàłùdäy Glacier! It may be related to a rain storm (pics on site sure look rainy) that must have dumped a lot of water into the subglacial system.
#RockBLOCK is tested & approved for use at -30C, making it the perfect tool in extreme conditions - like within the Arctic #Cryologger, transmitting drift patterns of icebergs via the pole-to-pole @IridiumComm Satellites: https://t.co/98O2BdFFue #SatelliteTracking#TechTuesday
I found 23 scientists working on #icebergs who are on Twitter. We are dozens! ;-) If you were also part of yesterday's SCIBERG meeting (or would like to follow it in the future), let me know and I'll gladly add you to the list: https://t.co/asVpc8jLki
From OSIL and SEACAMS2 project measuring offshore activity for renewable energy to Cryologgers monitoring iceberg shift patterns - you're doing great! Shout out to Ocean Cleanup using Maker Buoys too https://t.co/U78rWTiydO! Happy #EarthDay2021 all! #renewableenergy#oceancleanup
@sparkfun I use RockBLOCKs in my Arduino-based tracking beacons to monitor icebergs in the Canadian Arctic. The next version will feature the SparkFun Artemis! https://t.co/sCws9bJYDT
