What do you think Geoff got Chris to test our new Formaldehyde sensor with?

Halloween answers only 🎃👻

And happy belated birthday Chris!

Our deal of the week features the WVR Audio Development Board.

WVR is a next-generation sample player powered by an ESP32. WVR is Arduino compatible and open-source, and fits on a common breadboard, with room to access all the pins.

Combining a love of golf with a passion for open-source electronics?

The result is what maker Coleman Rollins calls Open GPS, an open-source device that lets golfers measure their shots, track which clubs they're using, and save their data for later.

We have an eclectic mix of new products this week!

RPi has a new 10.1 inch touchscreen, we're now selling a standalone photoacoustic spectroscopy CO2 sensor, we're carrying some simple 2x20-pin female and male SMD right angle header!

Whether via zombies, meteorites, or some techno-apocalypse combo, WE ARE DOOMED!

Beyond food and shelter, what are you actually going to do? For this, may we present the Portable Teensy Synth for the End of the World.

We've released some updated current sensors and realized that it could be a little confusing which sensor could be right for you. So let's go over a basic overview of what current is and the most popular current sensors that we carry!

We dug into the full analog side of Ethernet on Teensy 4.1, including where MAC addresses actually live, how transient protection works (and fails), and why transformer isolation isn't the same as transient immunity. https://t.co/0fArVnHDMv

70 volts measured on the PHY side of an Ethernet transformer during a hot-plug event, on a circuit rated for 3.3V. It's really an analog problem disguised as a digital one.

When we talk about @xrpRobots, the conversation is often around middle- + high-school classrooms, but XRP is being used in colleges and universities too!

Let's see what @WPI, @CornellSystems, CU Boulder, NH Community Colleges, and @MNSUMankato are doing!

The new SparkFun STCC4/SHT40 Qwiic CO2 Sensor is a simple indoor air quality breakout that measures CO2 concentration.

While most sensors measure estimated CO2 concentration, this uses thermal conductivity to directly measure actual CO2 concentrations.

Teaching robotics doesn't have to be difficult! With the XRP, you can progress students from Blockly to MicroPython, adding sensors and learning skills like computer vision along the way.

One robot enables years of learning!

Ever wanted to make a human motion alarm (not to be confused with just a motion alarm)? Now you can! Using just a Teensy, a sensor, and a few small parts, professional maker Jeremy Cook shows us how simple this practical project can be!

The XRP wasn't designed to be a "build it once and move on" robot. Start with Blockly, move to Python, add sensors, experiment with autonomous robotics, keep going.

It's less about one robot, and more about how far you can take it.

Insanely cool project from Reddit popped on our radar. The M.U.L.D.E.R. Unit is a Paranormal Investigation Device this user built to connect with their kids over "spooky stuff." This is a no-solder build that incorporates a bunch of SparkFun parts!

The idea behind DMA is straightforward: instead of having the CPU repeatedly move data between a peripheral and memory, configure the DMA hardware to do the transfers for you. The difficult part is figuring out how all the pieces fit together.

We threw one of our GNSS receivers off a building. And then ran it over with a truck.

We knew the Facet FP was tough, but we didn't know it was Tacoma-proof.
