I've already been amazed how many of the accounts I follow on here whose stuff I actually care about have already made the move to Bluesky. Hope more people will too!
This week has been the final straw for me. The things the owner of this site has said, and the growing number of accounts freely allowed to post pure hate, have just become too much. It's been a decreasingly fun 12 years, Twitter. I'll be at Bluesky instead from now on, same name
@mdsteinphd You are not a good person. I feel sorry for you if you think you are, and I hope one day you can overcome your fear and racism, and look back on the way you think now with contempt and remorse.
Went into town yesterday and not at all keen on thinking "oh better check if there's fascists about first" in the same way one normally looks at the weather forecast
@dlknowles@WarGit Ooh but in that case is it also affected by the trap/bath split, like Alexander or Sandra? i.e. Is it only a long/broad A in Southern English accents?
@scakenchington@youngvulgarian Some phones still do! One of the main reasons I've stuck with Moto phones, plus the insanely good value for money compared to Apple and Samsung

Which use of "leisurely" is acceptable to you?
1. We took a leisurely stroll to the Corn Palace.
2. We walked leisurely down the street to the Darwin Twine Ball Museum.
@SineadPaghan@___ManUtd___ I'm still seeing the ads but to be fair today is the first day the music doesn't seem to be auto-playing, which was the most annoying part! Maybe they heard our feedback, who knows
These unblockable, loud, frequent autoplaying Temu ads are making this app the most unusable it's ever been.
Nothing anywhere in Settings I can see to sort this out
I could live with it if they were at least mute by default!
@xvrmdf@thomasforth Disagree. Lots of real UK leftists I know use liberal as an insult. It means centrist; it means sellout; it means siding with the right over the left when push comes to shove; it means performative progressivism over class war; it means conflict-averse civility over direct action
