Latest update on #flood peak timings
Levels have risen due to yesterday's widespread #rain with new #peaks working their way down all the main #rivers.
Thankfully the #forecast is much quieter to the end of the week so🤞 its now about seeing all this water through.
Rainfall over past several days and more today means seeing multiple ‘peaks’ along the #Severn and #Wye rivers.
Our peak maps are produced daily to help advise on when and to what level the rivers will reach.
Keep updated with our warnings - link at end of 👇
If you’re travelling today, back to the office/work or home after celebrations, please take care.
There’s lots of standing #water around & too many people are ignoring ⛔️ signs & driving into #flood water.

The double-edged sword of having a spell of warm weather is the increased risk of #thunderstorms & surface water #flooding.
They’re notoriously tricky to pin down, but much of the country will have the right ingredients over the coming weekend.

Latest #flood#peak info.
Lots of water in our #rivers - & the land around them. But it’s moving downstream & thankfully forecasts don’t have rain adding to it just yet.
Our focus is moving toward #Gloucestershire & the #estuary where the #water slows can take days to recede.
#Multiagency working is essential, & sadly well practised, in a #flood event like this.
#LocalResilienceForum meets, where #partners come together to help #communities, will continue through the weekend to coordinate our joint response.
Please do listen to their advice 🙏
We know the absence of peak timing & levels from #flood warnings is causing concern. So these maps contain that info, as of this am's forecast, all in one place.
Our plan is to keep updating this so follow @EnvAgencyMids & visit https://t.co/2LmUe7yQD2 for live #river levels.
