The world often tells us to “love things, use people, and worship ourselves.” But the truth is, to find real happiness, we must “use things, love people, and worship God.” Embrace this wisdom as you navigate life’s journey. Stay humble, seek truth, and let God’s will guide you.
The early Church, a mixture of Jews, Gentiles, had no political power; Rome ruled. There was no christian supreme court.
They had no cultural power; they were persecuted by both Jews and Gentiles.
They had no economic power;
But they had love and the power of Jesus.
To the right: you cannot compel love of God through the law.
To the left: you cannot compel love of neighbor through the law.
Love ceases to be love when it's coerced.
Morality ceases to be moral when it's coerced.

I took this photo of a growing memorial outside #OxfordHighSchool in early December 2021.
Today marks one year since the Oxford community was forever changed.
Thinking of the families of Justin, Tate, Hana, and Madisyn today 💙💙💙

@KaitlynSchiess@HootenWilson@kdjtheologian “non-biblical scholar” must be a very nuanced technical term. As a non-academic I would consider both of these brilliant women to be biblical scholars.

We need a “Christian High Theory”—a deep critique of secular, western modernity. Chris Watkin writing at the graduate school level https://t.co/XTAQgPA6uY and Alan Noble writing at the college level https://t.co/TLInPaO2wJ are good examples. We need hundreds more.
