Great to see the wildlife trade special issue in Conservation Biology is out now: https://t.co/1DRw6h0gyB

Looking forward to reading about some of the lesser studied taxa in wildlife trade, and glad that our work led by @BastianLTC is included! https://t.co/W6yYMgPFv2

A recent study by @UniofAdelaide's Dr. Phill Cassey & Sebastian Chekunov reveals that 16% of Australian reptile species & 3% of frog species are traded globally. Illegal smuggling persists despite a 1982 export ban.

With growing enthusiasm in gardening to help wildlife, which simple features will help the most native species?
After 5,795 wildlife surveys in 30 WA towns by 243 citizen scientists the results are in. 212 vertebrate native wildlife species used the gardens and only 4 non-natives. One type of feature attracted more wildlife and diversity than any other? Can you guess which?

The #EU is a global hub for #wildlife #trade. 12 researchers, inc. WildCRU's @verissimodiogo, propose ways current #regulations could be improved to track all species, observe laws of species’ home countries & ensure sustainability of legal traffic. See: https://t.co/XaJoo0BeQV

I'm super excited to share the first chapter from my PhD! We examined 14,000 online advertisements to discover which pet birds Australians are interested in, what traits make them popular, and how this relates to the risk of new invasive species 💻🦜🔍 https://t.co/1NRAAUP2Fm

Online #plant trade in Australia has a dark side!

Our author @jacob_ecosphere and his team uncovered shocking details: hundreds of prohibited #weeds are invading the country's environment and agriculture through public online marketplaces.
