With 12% of women in 🇨🇦 expected to be diagnosed with #breastcancer in their lifetime, having breast cancer screening guidelines that are based on the latest science is essential. We support @cantaskforce expedited review process to release the draft guideline this fall.
One dirty little secret about medicine is that a lot of the barriers to practice (individual state licensure, board cert requirements, facility and insurance credentialing) have significant functions as regulatory hedges to keep competition out and wages high for US doctors.
