@ugandainvest Director General @mukiza_robert and other dignitaries from the Embassy of Uganda in Copenhagen met the Norad team, development finance and the Founding CEO of Norway’s Sovereign Wealth Fund to explore support that can de-risk private investment in Uganda.
“Norway has been a long-standing partner to Uganda, including through the Oil for Development programme that helped strengthen our petroleum governance,” he said
As first oil arrives, Uganda’s priority is to build a broad industrial economy, not just generate revenue. Norad’s partnership can help make this possible.

President Ruto: “I want to thank our father, President Museveni. When we sat down with Aliko Dangote, it was your vision that brought us this far. Mzee, we don’t take your vision for granted. You are the one who pushed us.”

Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu,
It is with a lot of sadness that, on the behalf of all Ugandans, Maama Janet and myself, I extend our most heart-felt condolences to the Royal Family of Tooro and to all Ugandans on account of the death of the prominent Muzzukulu, His Highness Oyo, the King of Tooro at such a young age of 34. How unfair life can be!! He was orphaned while still young and he has died young.
In the short life on earth, he had shown that he had potential of working well with the Central and Local Governments to develop Tooro. What a loss to Tooro and Uganda.
Some months back, Her Royal Highness Kemigisa, Nyinomukama, came to tell me that the Muzzukulu Oyo had cancer that was very aggressive. The Government supported them to go to Germany and, then, the USA where he died.
I am extremely saddened and shocked to hear of the passing of Omukama Oyo Rukidi IV. Our country has lost a great royal at a very young age. He still had a lot to contribute to our beloved country. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Uganda is stepping up efforts to turn its oil resources into an industrial economy, with the launch of the second investment phase of the Kabalega Industrial Park (KIP).

I was now on the way to launch another effort of fighting Amin using the 100 rifles we had already infiltrated into Uganda and the hand grenades which Rwaheru and group used very effectively at Lubiri Quarter-Guard, Kyambogo house of mathematics teacher Karuhanga (Omuharabu) and saved me in Mbale, Maluku, House no. 49.
This is where God’s miracle came in. We had just parked in the Inter-Continental car-park, when I saw the Kazzoras, including Maama, entering their cars after they had had lunch at the hotel. I got out of our car and greeted them. Mr. Kazzora and his wife did not know me but Maama Janet and Maama Jennifer Kutesa, knew me from the Ntungamo- Kyamate days.
Without going into details, it is that accidental and miraculous re-connection that enabled me to have a family even when I was still in the risky life of exile and, the Resistance. Praised be the Lord.
It is that miraculous re-connection, that gave me a family of 4 great children and fifteen grandchildren and I am now threatening to have great grandchildren (Abaijukuriza).
On the issue of Deputy Speaker, after getting guidance from the Commander-in-Chief, all PLU MPs and PLU leaning MPs will support Rt.Honourable @Thomas_Tayebwa for that position. Congratulations Rt.Honourable.
“Tomorrow, we will be showing destination Uganda to over 40 nations that will be in the country for the Presidential Inauguration ceremony.” -@JulzKagwa, CEO, Uganda Tourism Board.
It is an honour to receive the Diamond Jubilee Medal from H.E. @KagutaMuseveni the President of Uganda.
I dedicate this to my mother, may she rest in peace, who believed in education as a pathway to opportunity.
I must also express gratitude towards my workmates with whom we have struggled for a decade to keep the promise alive, and to serve Uganda’s oil and gas sector, advancing EACOP, securing key agreements, and supporting the journey to First Oil. 🇺🇬

Yesterday evening, the Chinese delegation paid a courtesy call to the Kampala Industrial and Business Park, where they were received by Mr. Adam Mutebi, China Desk Officer at the Uganda Investment Authority. He commended the Chinese community for its continued partnership with Uganda across various sectors.
He highlighted the park as Uganda’s largest government-owned industrial hub, spanning approximately 2,200 acres and comprising four estates—North, South A, South B, and South C. The park hosts around 480 factories, with about 50% operational, 30% under construction, and others in pre-start stages. He further noted that infrastructure development in the park is about 60% complete, including roads, power stations, a weighbridge, and a waste management plant.
The delegation had a drive/tour and was also briefed on the diverse range of industries in the park, including plastics, roofing, iron and steel, textiles, oil and detergents, and fabrication equipment manufacturing.
The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it.
This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.
Trump's recklessness is needlessly putting our brave service members in harm's way, destroying America's global standing, and making life even more unaffordable for the American people.
We must all stand against this and oppose funding this illegal war of choice.
Kla’s skyline is getting a major facelift with the arrival of Hilton and Marriott hotels, signaling a new era for Ug’s hospitality sector. These are expected to add over 400 rooms, boosting the city's accommodation capacity and attracting high-end tourists & business travelers~

CHINA is removing tariffs on Africa.
Zero tariff on products from all 53 African countries that have diplomatic ties with China.
Effective on May 1, 2026.
We can agree to disagree on doctrine, but certainly the @ug_lawsociety (ULS) president should not be in exile.
Just as Obote ruled the UPC from exile, @IsaacSsemakadde now leads ULS from afar. 😅
It’s time to address the underlying reasons for his exile and bring him back as a free man.

I commissioned the Wagagai gold mining project in Busia District today, celebrating a significant step towards processing minerals in Uganda. Under my leadership, we will not export unprocessed minerals, as this undermines our economy.
Wagagai aims to achieve 99.9% purity in gold processing locally, benefiting Uganda financially and creating over 5,000 jobs once fully operational. I urge other miners to ensure minerals are processed before export.
By maximising our natural resources, gold, lithium, tea, iron, etc., we can create jobs and industrialize Uganda. The Wagagai project is expected to generate over $100 million annually for 21 years, and we must leverage these resources for a sustainable future.
I congratulate them!
