🔸 Global luxury giant @Prada finally recognises that Maharashtra’s craftsmanship is unreplicable!
A historic MoU signed between Prada, LIDCOM & LIDKAR. These limited-edition sandals crafted with the help of our skilled artisans from Maharashtra will be available from February 2026 at 40 Prada stores across the globe and on the official website.
We didn't just demand credit for our heritage; we commanded a business partnership. This is the true power of ‘Make in India’ and the global recognition of #KolhapuriChappal.
Congratulations to our artisans—the world is now your ramp!

Exclusive: Prada will make a limited-edition collection of sandals in India inspired by the country's traditional footwear, selling each pair at around $930, turning a backlash over cultural appropriation into a collaboration with Indian artisans https://t.co/fWVuagxL7V
LIDCOM MD Prerna Deshbhratar said "Once Prada endorses this craft as a luxury product, definitely the domino effect will work and result in increasing demand for the craft."
Near-future Zomato customer complaints, requests, and reactions:
1. "Hey Zomato, I saw the pure-veg delivery guy eating biryani outside a stall serving chicken biryani earlier today. Please check his eating preferences and fix them, if you can."
2. New notice in apartment group: "Only Zomato green fleet allowed on Tuesdays. Red fleet won't be allowed entry. If you order via Red fleet, please pick up the delivery on the road, 100 meters away from the apartment, eat it by the roadside, clean up fully, pray in the Hanuman temple on the way, and only then come inside the apartment complex. If possible, come back on Wednesday; it's best for all".
3. "Hi Zomato, I'm color blind. Can you please ensure that the green fleet drivers wear a prominent badge with the text 'Pure Veg'?"
4. "Hey Zomato, I belong to the extended family of our Hon'ble Minister of Finance and Minister of Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, and hence do not eat onion or garlic. Could you ensure that your green fleet driver is also someone who doesn't eat garlic or onion when I order my Jain food?"
5. "Zomato, I noticed that a green fleet delivery person was talking to a red fleet driving person this morning! How can you let this happen? How can I know my pure veg food is indeed "pure"?"
6. "Hi Zomato, am I chatting with a pure veg. customer service person?"
7. "Hi Zomato, is your customer chatbot pure vegetarian?"
8. "Zomato, can you introduce a Jain food-only delivery fleet wearing white color dress for us to identify easily?"
9. "Hey Zomato, the green fleet food box was kept on top of a red-colored scooter. This is a bit confusing and dangerous to my "pure" food ritual. Please ensure that the green fleet uses only green-colored vehicles".
10. "Zomato, change the green fleet's color to saffron. Using green color to denote pure vegetarian food is an insult to Hindutva".
The recent Zomato ad took me back to college.
I will explain. I have a marketing degree from MICA which is the mecca of advertising (if not marketing) education & a good barometer of the kind of people who go on to brands, agencies, media, content, consumer research industries.
