One of my biggest fears as a medical trainee happened recently: “is there a doctor on the flight?”
(First attempt at a thread please bear with me)
I debate if I’m even qualified to answer, technically I’m not a medical professional.
I think the field of medicine might improve if we 100% stopped considering research when selecting candidates for med school and residency. Those who love research would keep doing it (good). Those who don't love it would stop doing junk research (also good). Research might go back to its intended purpose of scientific inquiry.

16% of the doses administered at our Home Stretch clinics have been 1st doses – much higher than at our mass immunization clinics. At one pop-up clinic, 55% of the shots were 1st doses. Community outreach and trusted, on-the-ground engagement are critical to this success.
My mum has just worked as nurse throughout the pandemic, a year after qualifying. Got COVID at work. She recovered (we thank God) and went back to work. She's now decided to apply for a new role in a different setting and this is what was sent to her by the recruiter. @CWPT_NHS
