@divya_venn I find that this also arises from a sense of humility where one assumes that their take is going to be less ‘right’ than the consensus (if there is such a thing). I’m sympathetic to this idea in areas requiring technical knowledge, but even then critical thinking gets you far.
I've been asked a lot lately why I care so much about "fringe" ideas, like UAPs. To me, this is like asking why investors would be interested in a no-name start-up.
Even if only 1% of the "fringe" is validated, that tiny sliver of truth could change everything we think we know.
@digijordan Thanks for responding. You may be right abt branding, but I encourage you to consider how your message may be perceived by others (especially women) now that you have such a broad audience. Your words are important and will affect many lives.
Is @RepLuna the first sitting Congress member in recent history to make such an explicit statement about the existence of non-human intelligent life?
“…we are not alone.”
Hot take: this explanation is *technically* true. Notice that she specifies “the drones flying over NJ in large numbers….”
This is key.
It was never the case that *all* the ‘drones’ were UAPs (or even most!). @LueElizondo discussed this weeks ago when he explained how

None of this makes the statement any less dissatisfying or coy. But it’s not a lie per se.
Given what we’ve seen re: transparency on other topics (JFK, MLK), maybe this is just a question of timing and not an attempt to put the toothpaste back in the tube.
One can only hope!

Drones over New Jersey: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says the drones seen flying over New Jersey were authorized to fly by the FAA and were “not the enemy.” More: https://t.co/FPyil5EaJb
It’s quite plausible that *most* drones were FAA-authorized for “research and various other purposes” (such as collecting on UAPs). One UAP alone could trigger the launch of multiple air assets.
The Q for the WH should be: why were the drones deployed in the first place?
