@JimLaSelva@DebClapp1 watching districts near us being able to accommodate teachers is a slap in face to both teachers and teachers... it’s hard NOT to be involved
To say I'm disappointed is an understatement - since the very beginning, the district has shut down and ignored the voices of both the students and teachers. They understood that pushing for the hybrid model came at the cost of the teachers, but refused to do anything about it
@DebClapp1 teachers shouldn’t be the ones apologizing, the district owes us an apology, along with an explanation of why they are prioritizing the reopening of schools over the safety and well-being of our teachers and community - it shouldn’t have to be this way :( hang in there!
Not only do you not properly honor #RBG but now you mock her legacy.
And you wonder why the country won't come together, this is soulless
Whoever did this should watch the documentary RBG and see why and how Justice Ginsburg earned her nickname

I need to apologize in advance. I really want to pause and give RBG her flowers. She deserves so much praise and celebration. But right now I am overwhelmed by the prospect of what comes next. I’m so concerned about women’s rights, civil rights for poc, LGBT rights. I’m worried.
don’t take RBG’s death lightly... women are now than ever at risk of losing their reproductive rights. vote like your life depends on it (because it does)
Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be remembered as one of history's greatest champions for women's rights. She fought for our equality and for us to have the same opportunities to succeed. We will honor her memory by continuing to fight for a stronger democracy.
Rest in power, RBG.
@tessamastrocola yess !!! there is no way to tell what a person's gender is or how they might identify... and assuming someone's identity solely based on appearances only perpetuates harmful stereotypes and transphobic rhetoric.
how can you say you “feel with the teachers” when you deny them of reasonable accommodations that are in the interest of protecting themselves, their families, and our community...
I know I ain’t even going to the regional next year but why the hell would you not choose online when it means your favorite teachers job is on the line
Hybrid model: learning w/o some of our awesome teachers. Remote model: learning w/ all of our awesome teachers. MAJOR DIFFERENCE. Why are we risking teacher's jobs and health if we can receive the same or even better education remotely?
