Again, no sign of tiger skin in our past but leopard. If kings could use it as carpet, definitely it holds a significant place in the hierarchy of animals in this part of the world. This picture will add to the body of evidence that ẹkùn is leopard and there is no animal call tiger in Yorùbá land and Africa in general.
I know it is hard for some people to unlearn what they have been told. It causes cognitive dissonance and epistemic fear. But, there is no other option than to unlearn what is not true or correct. Some people even go to the extent of creating Wikipedia entry where ẹkùn is labeled tiger, all in a desperate attempt to plant their miseducation as true. However, some of us will stick to the conceptual integrity of our forebears.
