If you are a footballer, PR is important.

Do not answer anybody that says otherwise. We've seen footballers get transfers based off hype and media pull, especially English media, they will hype you beyond your value.

We've seen prices inflated because everyone is talking about that player.

One major benefit of PR is VISIBILITY. If everyone is talking about a player, more people will want to watch that player.

This guy called Tim Payne is 32 years of age, he was born in New Zealand, he's been playing in NZ for a long time, even went to tier 2 in the MLS over a decade ago, but did not spend more than a year.

Anyways, he's spent most of his player career in
Wellington Phoenix, a club in NZ that competes in the Australian League.

An Argentine streamer was doing a research before the world cup, he said he wanted to find out the player at the world cup with the least social media followers, then he found this guy, Tim Payne, who had 4k followers.

The streamer asked everyone to follow him, and in 2 days, Tim Payne moved from 4k to 4million, and he's got over 5 million now.

Do you know the PR this guy has gotten now? Most of those followers he gathered are South Americans, so he has won their hearts, then boom, a South American giant club, Olimpia has just signed him.

Olimpia is like the biggest club in Paraguay with about 50 league titles, and a giant in South America as a whole.

In fact, if you watched Ronaldinho's documentary, the Libertadores trophy he won for Atlético Mineiro was against Olimpia in 2013, and Olimpia has won the Copa Libertadores thrice, they are not small, they're really big. In fact, this is the biggest club Tim Payne would have played for in his career.

We live in a media age, PR is important, it will give you visibility. You can be a good player in a very small league in Latvia, and PR can move you 10 steps forward.

Anyways, congratulations to Tim Payne. He also played well last night against Iran.
