@DougDeMuro reported that Cybertruck depreciation is huge. I know this is true of the early ones which were crazy expensive and badly built but I’ve been looking for a late 2025 or early 26 AWD Premium but they don’t seem cheap at all (except rebuilt title). Even the rebuilt title ones are north of $50k. I’ve ordered a $59k one but if I could get the premium at late 25 early 2026 for sub $60k it would be worth considering. Aiming to avoid anything pre late 2025 due to build quality still not being as good as the current ones. Even rebuilt title ones are mid-50’s. Makes the new 59k one seem like great value tbh.
I drove from Chicago to Knoxville and back over the past two days with some heavy rain at times. Absolutely perfect driving from reversing out of the garage at home to parking at superchargers and my final destinations. I could not live without this these days as it makes long road trips and absolute stress free breeze. Chicago to Utah in a couple of weeks time and I expect it will be the same. Long hours on the road. Zero fatigue.
@Reuters I use it all the time. Even in very heavy rain where you can’t see it drives safely. It is already dramatically safer than an often distracted human and very close to being able to drive unsupervised. Pretty sure it will get to that level this year. I use it all of the time.
It’s very close. I’m not an FSD promoter as such and I do use it because I find driving boring these days on highways and urban areas. I’m always ready to take over but 14.3.3 has been excellent for me. From airport drop offs at O’Hare to today’s drive from Chicago to Knoxville it’s almost flawless. My biggest gripe is not being able to cap the speed and having to go up and down between modes to try to optimize the speed I actually want to travel at. I have a 21 MY with HW3 which is nowhere near as good as my 26 MY with 14.3.3. However it is still pretty good for many trips without many interventions. I haven’t had a critical intervention on either MY and most have been Navigation related or parking spot related. The latest version is clearly very close to the end game. We are of course expecting absolute perfection with no mistakes. However, in its current guise it would clearly be safer than the vast majority of drivers. If tomorrow every car on the road in the USA could have FSD 14.3.3 or even v12 on the HW3 then the accident rate would be phenomenally lower. Both versions are much better than the average distracted driver. They just are. Not better than an attentive pro advanced driver maybe but then that’s a very small percentage of the driver standard on the road. The vast majority are distracted, reckless numpty’s. FSD on HW3 and HW4 are better than this.
Yesterday I decided to test it by dropping off my son at O’Hare T3 departures. Flawless drop off and when we were boxed in I waited to see what it would do to get back out. It reversed and made a few maneuvers to extract itself from kerbside and then drove all the way home without any intervention. Amazing.
I do that sometimes but if it’s making a turn after the stop it sometimes does the steering wheel wiggle as though it’s thinking to go straight but needs to turn. If you lift off too early it sometimes stops. I think Tesla should have a tick box disclaimer allowing either a rolled stop or a less chauffeur style approach and departure that is faster. At the end of the day there is a selector asking how much you want to break the speed limit by so it’s only the same.
Black headliner looks great and the new screen is noticably more responsive. In the brief time I’ve had so far with the new MY and my time with the loaner CT Foundation series I’m a bit more relaxed that my CT that is on order does not have air suspension. The new MY is really not far off the ride quality of the CT air suspension. I think the CT with coil suspension should be really good.
It was a new premium awd with the black headliner. I’ve had Tesla’s since 2019 when I got one of the first M3 performance models in the UK. Now I live in the US I have a 21 MY and just added the 26 model. Also a CT on order. My car is still in service as the replacement computer wouldn’t work so waiting for another. Got a CT loaner so I’m ok to wait..
@NowRollingOut The end result was a new computer was required. Not sure if it was faulty from the beginning or if the software update nerfed it. Being fixed now.
@elonmusk Ordered mine. Can’t wait for it to arrive. Keeping my 2021 MY for my 16 yr old as it’s so safe and has FSD if he ever gets into trouble and needs to bail out. 2026 MY just added for my wife to drive. Awesome improvement.
@TSLA_inside_ This was pushed to my new ModelY on Friday night just after picking it up. Now going to get it fixed as it has messed up my FSD. When I engage the FSD the cameras disable.
