@OfficerofEngin1 This is a great thread and tho my similar experiences were 30yrs or so before yours they were not dissimilar. Sharing a sleeping bag at a festival (proto glastonbury), days of talking bollox and loose jams with other players. All now seems to be before real life started!

@SaferRoadsYorks Not what I meant. Whether powered or not riding lines are crucial and that includes awareness of other road users coming up behind. Then it all comes down to the likely speed differential and road topography.

@SaferRoadsYorks Sadly that HC amendment seems to give some sufficient entitlement to hold totally unnecessary wide lines frustrating following car drivers. M/cs bit less affected but provoking frustration seems to have become a sport to some cyclists near here (Cheshire)

@SaferRoadsYorks Car 3 looked a bit close to the following cyclist otherwise fine. Point is there are thousands of miles of roads in Yorkshire/uk way narrower than that with no centre line marked. The 1.5m pass suggestion in the Highway Code is a nonsense on most of them. Courtesy should rule.
