To every action, there is equal and opposite reaction. I will use myself as an example. I am from Ogun State, but some of my extended family members are from Lagos. Sounds strange right? Lagos, as a State, was created in 1967 and Ogun in 1976. My people have existed as one. Till today, part of my panegyrics is the same with that of many indigenous Lagosians.
Ọmọ iwájú ọlọ́kọ̀ tí n sowó,
Ẹ̀yìnkulé ọlọ́kọ̀ tí ń sèjìgbà ilẹ̀kè
Ògèdègédé ọlọ́kọ̀ tí ń tàn yẹbẹyẹbẹ lójú omi
Ọmọ ká fọ̀pá wàá, ká fàjẹ̀ wàá,
Ká fògèdègédé ọwọ́ wakọ délẹ̀ Ìṣẹri
Back to the discussion at hand. I wasn't really interested in the affairs of Lagos. It's like the properties of my distance cousin. But when we start seeing videos of people in far away Anambra and other Eastern States holding meetings and saying "Lagos is not negotiable, we have to capture Lagos," my sense of preservation will be triggered. It would be stupid of any Yorùbá person to watch people with conquest mentality take over Yorùbá Land.

A man will never forget the moment you made him feel small or question his worth,
Yes he might forgive you but that moment remains fresh in his mind for ages.
The most critical moment in any mans life are the days of his financial struggles,
Any thing you did to him or do for him at the moment will be recorded and remembered for life.
Something happened at my former workplace that still makes me laugh.
A cleaner found a wallet containing ₦500,000 in the office restroom.
No ID or ATM card, just the cash. Instead of taking it, she handed it over to management. Everybody praised her.
Two days later, the owner was identified.
Guess what happened? The man didn’t even say thank you. He just collected the money and walked away.
The cleaner was hurt because she expected a little gratitude but she moved on regardless.
Three months later, the company announced staff promotions.
The cleaner’s son, who also worked there, was promoted to a role nobody expected. Everybody was suprised. 😂
The management thought it was the best way to reward the cleaner for her integrity.
Till today, people still talk about that incident not because she returned the money or because her son was promoted.
But because the man who lost it never knew that the woman he ignored was the mother of the person who would eventually become his boss.
Someone will celebrate a number of followers, only for you people to rush and unfollow them.
You people move like w1tches & w1zards here.
If I follow you, it’s for life and i block immediately you become disrespectful.

One of the things I love about Nigerian music is how an artist can accidentally create culture.
Olamide's Gunman Pose wasn't just an album cover.
People took it and made it theirs.
That's the kind of thing I think about when I make music.
GUNMAN POSE @Olamide
