@hanneymusawa@officialABAT One of the bane of democracy in our clime is that it allows the incompetence of the people in government to thrive on sycophancy. A system built on patronage rather than efficiency and productivity prioritizes flimsy matters over and above serious national issues.
No road too long, no mountain too high—justice rides on.
In China, circuit court judges travel on horseback across grasslands and valleys, turning them into open-air courtrooms, helping people in remote areas resolve disputes.
The US Can’t Kick China Out of Latin America Anymore
Why Trump’s New Monroe Doctrine Is Already Too Late
When Trump talks about “taking back” Latin America, about restoring the Monroe Doctrine, around dragging Venezuela, Panama, Brazil, and the rest of the continent back under Washington’s exclusive jurisdiction, many people still interpret this as strength.
It isn’t.
It is exposure.
Only someone who has run out of cards flips the table.
Only a gambler close to bankruptcy reaches for robbery.
If U.S. sanctions still worked, if dollar hegemony were still intact, if political pressure, financial warfare, and diplomatic isolation still delivered results, Washington would not need to personally step into the mud — threatening kidnappings, floating regime-change fantasies, or openly talking about seizing resources as collateral.
This is not muscle-flexing.
This is imperial afterglow.
And the key misunderstanding in Washington is this: the outcome of this struggle does not hinge on whether Maduro survives, or whether a government falls. It hinges on something much more banal, much more material.
When the U.S. looks down at what it still calls its “backyard,” it no longer sees American soil.
It sees Chinese soybeans growing in the fields.
Chinese cranes loading containers in the ports.
Chinese power grids, telecom systems, roads, and railways quietly humming underneath daily life.
This is more powerful than ideology.
That is infrastructure, the backbone of economy.
And infrastructure does not disappear on command. Removing China from Latin America is removing the infrastructure and collapsing the fragile economies.
The Real Endgame: Resources, Collateral, and a Dollar Under Pressure
Trump’s Venezuela obsession is not about democracy, human rights, or even oil in the traditional sense. It is about collateral.
The United States is cornered by its own balance sheet.
In the coming year alone, Washington needs to roll over and issue roughly five trillion dollars in new Treasury debt just to service maturing obligations. But fewer and fewer countries are willing to absorb U.S. debt at scale. Commodity trade is slowly de-dollarizing. If the U.S. is forced to monetize its own debt by printing money to buy Treasuries, inflation becomes uncontrollable.
That path cannot be allowed.
So the theory emerging in Washington is simple: secure massive pools of real assets — oil, gas, rare earths, minerals — re-peg them to the dollar, and restore confidence through material backing.
Venezuela.
Greenland.
Latin America.
On paper, Venezuelan oil reserves are worth tens of trillions. In reality, Venezuelan oil can't be monetized so easily.
Venezuela’s Oil Trap: Why China Cannot Be Replaced
Venezuelan crude is among the most difficult on Earth to monetize. It is extra-heavy, buried deep, and requires extremely sophisticated extraction, upgrading, and transport infrastructure.
Only two countries on Earth have the technical and industrial depth to build and operate such systems at scale: China and the United States.
China already did it.
China buys roughly 70% of Venezuela’s oil. China financed, built, and operates much of the infrastructure that makes that oil usable and exportable.
If China is pushed out, who replaces it?
American oil majors — Chevron, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips (COP) — have no incentive to sink one hundred billion dollars over five years into facilities that could be expropriated the moment political winds shift again. The risk profile is suicidal.
And even if U.S. companies did step in, who would they sell to?
China is the only buyer large enough, patient enough, and technically compatible with this type of crude. If China is expropriated and sanctioned out of Venezuela, retaliation is inevitable. Supply chains will be disrupted. Markets will close. Sanctions will travel both ways.
Washington’s Venezuela fantasy collapses under its own economic logic.
2 sets of people to be with to enjoy a stress-free life: little kids & the elderly. One set has no problem to worry about and the other has worried about all the problems with nothing else to worry about...Cherish the time with them if you've the privilege to have them around U.
As an African proverb goes, a friend is someone you share the path with. On the path to modernization, no one, and no country, should be left behind.
Let us rally the more than 2.8 billion Chinese and African people into a powerful force, and join hands to bring about a bright future of peace, security, prosperity and progress for our world.
🗣️ Looks like traditional rulers are cashing out in Nigeria! 💰 💵
Why is @SMEDANGov, that is meant to promote small businesses, spending N5 billion of public funds on cars for traditional rulers and building boreholes worth N2 billion in Kaduna?
This is a blatant misuse of public resources.
Nigerians, when will this end? Hold your representatives accountable.

Putin mistakenly led himself to believe that the United States and NATO members were run by reasonable governments, willing to cooperate with Russia for mutual benefit. To be economic and security partners, so to speak.
What Putin learned instead is that the US and NATO never had any intentions of being friendly partners with Russia. What they wanted was an obedient and controllable muppet, like Yeltsin, to enable them to loot the country clean. Russia is a target, something to exploit and conquer, a land of fabulous wealth, a huge supply of meat for multinational corporate parasites and their shareholders.
The Washington psychopaths planned to achieve the capture of the sovereign Russian state by throwing support behind the violent and hateful nazionalist movement in Ukraine. The movement is a continuation of something the US kept simmering underground since the 1950s, an intergenerational fifth column of Bandera-worshipping proto-nazis. This is SOP for the United States, sowing conflict among Russia's neighbors, throwing support behind its enemies, keeping border brushfires constantly burning and bleeding the state. Chechnya and Georgia, previous examples of conflicts fueled by the US.
That was the psychopath Nuland's job, to throw billions of dollars in financial support behind the far right nazionalists groups in Ukraine, while masquerading them as a pro-West, pro-EU "revolution". Grow the numbers, give them NATO trainers and resources, arm them to the teeth, then just sit back and watch them do what comes naturally to violent, hateful nazis. For lack of a better term, Ukraine was "Nulandized".
In the eyes of Washington psychopaths, this was the ideal solution to capturing the Russia state. Not a single American or NATO life would need to be risked, only expendable Ukrainians and mercs would do the dying. A classic proxy force with which to breed and provoke conflict, ultimately to procure "Russian aggression". The mistake US and NATO made was not understanding how strong Russia actually is, that it has all the capability it needs to defend its strategic interests.
There is no solution to preserving Russian sovereignty that does not involve obliterating every last nazionalist in Ukraine. Any NATO forces that make the mistake of getting drawn in to Ukraine will also have to be destroyed. Russia can do it, it has the resources, the personnel, the industries, and the allies to produce virtually limitless quantities of arms and supplies. The Washington psychopaths truly believe they can "bleed" Russia out, but all they are succeeding in doing is bleeding Ukraine and NATO out.
Guaranteed, the Washington psychopaths are just avaricious and desperate enough to keep feeding an unwinnable attempt to overthrow of the Russian state. Russians have never been more unified behind a cause. The US and its tugboat UK, will keep escalating, any way they can, pushing and prodding member states to cough up, until there is no room left to escalate.
Ultimately there will be no payoff for the US and vassals, other than a short-lived orgy of "conflict capitalism," with which to enrich a few wealthy shareholders in the military-industrial-congressional complex.
