Extended interview: Former Nebraska senator Ben Sasse has metastatic pancreatic cancer. He spoke with 60 Minutes' Scott Pelley about where America has been and where it could still go.
Denny Hamlin was asked today if his start to the season has impacted his thinking on whether he may keep driving beyond 2027. He said he's not really sure.
"I think that I've given Gibbs enough of a heads up that they're working on the plans for beyond. So as long as those all go as planned, I still assume that the end of '27 is it."
He talked a bit about wanting to go out on a high note (no need for a farewell tour, either), but he did stop short of saying that his current contract with Joe Gibbs Racing is definitely his last one.
"Things always change, you just never know. But it's what I would like. But again, I don't know all of the moving parts and pieces beyond what happens between now and about 20 months from now. You just don't know. But I thought that that was a good enough timeline and enough heads up that they could make plans."
