The team spotted 20 drivers on their mobile phones on Earlham Road, Norwich yesterday afternoon 🚨
In 90 minutes, they also saw 3 wearing no seatbelts and 2 illegal number plates.
No call or text is worth six points and a £200 fine - save a life and get off your phone📱
#RPU stopped this ab-load coming out of Boston today as attendant not wearing seatbelt. MO had incorrect dimensions to actual load, driver using someone else's driver card, no height indicator in cab. Attendant also wanted. Driver reported and attendant arrested. TC referral.
We have sent 4 ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, 4 Hazardous Area Response Team vehicles, 3 senior paramedic cars and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance to Southend Airport responding to reports of an incident involving an airplane.
This is a live incident and still developing.
Team 3 stopped this van yesterday as it looked a little too heavy.
It should be 3.5 tonnes but turns out it was just over 6 tonnes - that's 72% overweight!
The vehicle was prohibited from moving until the load had been removed and the driver was issued with £680 fines.
Our control room are monitoring wind speeds across the #A14#OrwellBridge this morning.
Strong winds are being measured, but at this time we've only set a 40mph speed limit and have not needed to close the bridge.
Should a closure be necessary, we'll post an update on this feed
This is a prime example why you do not sit within your vehicle if you break down on the motorway. Tonight we have attended an RTC on the M6 whereby there were no injuries. Should the occupants have been sitting within the vehicle it would have been a very different story.
