People seem to be confused with what backend engineering really is.

It is not
> about a framework (fastapi, expressjs)
> only what a fullstack dev needs (auth, middleware, db)
> just about writing endpoints

Backend engineering is a set of principles. No matter what niche you work in, you will find backend engineering involved.

> data engineering is backend with data
> devops is backend with operations
> mlops is backend with ml
> infra engineering is backend with reliability
> distributed computing is backend with scale

It’s all about first principles and systems thinking.
