Red wall energy meets the cloth! ⚽️🔴
Traffic at Arua Hill roundabout came to a total standstill on Saturday evening as die-hard Arsenal fans, decked out in their jerseys, turned up in full force to welcome the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, ahead of his farewell service at Emmanuel Cathedral, Mvara.
An ardent Gunner himself, the Archbishop shared a powerful farewell message: channel that same passion, unity, and team spirit into driving real development across the country.
Archbishop Kaziimba is set to retire on August 15, 2027, concluding a impactful 7-year tenure as the 9th Archbishop of the Church of Uganda.

UPDATE: The Head of the RDC Secretariat, Maj Martha Asiimwe, has raised concerns over the quality of works on the Amuria-Orungo-Abim Road after an inspection found poor drainage despite ongoing rehabilitation. During the monitoring visit, the team found that although fresh marram had been laid along sections of the road, drainage channels had not been constructed, raising concerns about water flow and the durability of the road. The inspection is part of a nationwide monitoring exercise by the RDC Secretariat and the State House Anti-Corruption Unit to assess service delivery, value for money and compliance with project standards.
