"Non-Muslim police staff invited to fast during Ramadan"

Here's what they didn't tell you.

It's called the Ramadan Experience. The West Midlands Association of Muslim Police have run it since around 2018.

You fast for a day. You donate what you'd have spent on lunch.

In 2023 the money went to ACEF — schooling and healthcare for over 900 children in a Nairobi slum. £2,030 raised across 70 donations.

Voluntary. Opt-in. Runs at organisations across the country.

It was never hidden. The force's own museum blog described it in March 2024.

But it was published as an exposé.

Now look at who built it.

The paper: owned by Axel Springer since June 2026. Its binding corporate principles include support for the State of Israel. Its CEO told staff who disagree they "may be better suited to another workplace."

The MP: Nick Timothy supplies "wholly inappropriate" and demands the Public Sector Equality Duty be scrapped. On the record in the Commons: "I do not mind if Mohammed is satirised, criticised or mocked."

The think tank: the Henry Jackson Society. Its associate director from 2011 to 2018 was Douglas Murray, who told a conference in The Hague: "Conditions for Muslims in Europe must be made harder across the board."

He stood by it when asked in 2010. He now writes for the same paper.

In 2014, the Henry Jackson Society was asked to name any donor who had given it more than £5,000.

It refused, and resigned from two parliamentary groups instead.

The Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards upheld the complaint. Both groups later folded.

That's the chain. A paper, an MP, a think tank.

The article says invited.
The reposts say encouraging.
The replies say mandatory. Iran. 74 lashes.

Three steps from a charity fast to a lie.

So sit with what's actually being objected to here.

A skipped lunch.
A donation.

In 2023, that donation funded schooling and healthcare for 900 children in a Nairobi slum.

That's what got called wholly inappropriate.

Muslims raised money for children. That's the story.

And then they call us barbaric.
