As an early service teacher, empowering professional spaces that allowed me to build connections and collaborate with others sustained me.

That's part of why it is SO important to me to use my positionality as a researcher, to further work around creation of these spaces!

Oh, and in all my feels this morning about how much this election shows that Philly is a LOCAL community, and that national endorsements are not necessarily a substitute for Philly home-grown mobilization and pride #PhillyMayoralRace

It also goes without saying but like, #Philly fam, we gotta get our voter mobilization vibes poppin' off before November... (ik presidential elections have higher turnout, but... nonetheless...)

Given Parker's alignment w/ the 76ers arena plan, I wonder if that will motivate Oh to take an actual stand on it.

& then I wonder if this could become a slightly more competitive general election than anyone would have thought.

When the 5th largest city in the US can elect a mayor with less than 30% of the vote, in an election where less than 30% of registered voters showed up... Oy
