राजस्थान का कोटा हाल फ़िलहाल में विकसित हुए शहरों की अग्रणी पंक्ति में है, पूरे शहर में आपको एक भी ट्रैफ़िक सिग्नल नहीं है,फिर भी जाम लगते नहीं देखा। सड़कें एकदम चकाचक,लाइटें शानदार लगी हैं। लेकिन रीवर फ्रंट अलग ही लेवल का है। एक तरफ आपको भारतीय इमारतों की रिप्लिका और दूसरी तरफ विदेशी कारीगरी। बीच में चंबल माता की मूर्ति।

अफ़सोस है कि इसका प्रचार नहीं है,वरना राजस्थान घूमने का प्लान है तो आइटनरी में लोगों को इसे भी जोड़ना चाहिए। मारवाड़,मेवाड़ और बागड़ के अलावा हाड़ौती इलाके में बहुत ही ख़ूबसूरती बसी है। 🫶
बाक़ी आख़िर में वही यहाँ आपको लगता नहीं कि ये India है 😀

ये कहानी है राजसमंद (राजस्थान ) जिले के आदर्श गाँव पिपलांत्री और इस गाँव के पूर्व सरपंच श्याम सुंदर पालीवाल जी की।

2007 में, पालीवाल जी की 17 वर्षीय बेटी किरण की डिहाइड्रेशन के कारण मृत्यु हो गई थी। पालीवाल जी और उनके परिवार ने अपनी बिटिया के स्मृति के सम्मान करने के लिए उसके नाम पर गांव के प्रवेश द्वार के पास एक पेड़ लगाया। उस वक्त पालीवाल जी पिपलांत्री के सरपंच थे ,उन्होंने सोचा, क्यों न इस कार्यक्रम को एक व्यापक कार्यक्रम में बदल दिया जाए?

अब, जब भी पिपलांत्री में कोई लड़की पैदा होती है, तो ग्रामीण उसके सम्मान में और पर्यावरण को पुनर्जीवित करने के लिए 111 पेड़ लगाते हैं।

इस अभियान का सुखद नतीजा यह निकला कि अब इस क्षेत्र के हजारों हेक्टेयर परती एवं बंजर जमीन पर आम और आंवले से लेकर चंदन, नीम, पीपल और बांस तक के पेड़ों की हरियाली है। 🌳🌳

इतना ही नहीं वृक्षारोपण के साथ-साथ, नए जन्मे बेटियों के माता-पिता एक शपथ पत्र पर भी हस्ताक्षर करते हैं कि वे 18 साल की होने से पहले उनकी शादी नहीं करेंगे और उन्हें स्कूल खत्म करने देंगे। ग्रामीण प्रत्येक लड़की के लिए लगभग 31,000 रुपये के साथ एक फिक्स्ड डिपॉजिट खाता खोलने में भी योगदान देते हैं, जिसे वह 18 वर्ष की होने पर अपनी शिक्षा के लिए या अपनी शादी के भुगतान में मदद के लिए उपयोग कर सकती है।
