@EtherCoins@mrwtffacts Some cruises track your drinks with your room card (used for payments or verification of your drink package).
But they don’t necessarily track every single drink on the card once they’ve verified you have an “all you can drink” package. So she might have had more than 9.
@DokaRyan This equates to about 300-400ml of Beithir Fire ingested rapidly—essentially one full 330ml bottle could push you into the danger zone, and exceeding it (e.g., 1.1-1.2 bottles) hits the median lethal territory. (2/2)
@DokaRyan FWIW, grox (https://t.co/y3tJ7NgGOt) tells me that >1 bottle could be a lethal dose if drank quickly:
Median lethal range (50% chance of fatality without medical intervention) is estimated at 0.35-0.45% BAC, based on forensic and medical data. (1/2)
@HindlesKitchen@FarmGirlCarrie Every vegetable you eat today, every grain, every domestic animal -- all were "manmade" through selective breeding.
Also, your pets. Your dog? Several millenia ago was a wolf.
Milky Eye spotted in Chicago last night - he made a brief appearance at Cheesies Wrigleyville location while we were there. Apparently others spotted him at Lark earlier.
@tanatana5252 This is why most humidifiers recommend using distilled water. But it's a lot more expensive to run with distilled water. An evaporative humidifier will cost less to run in the long term but requires replacement wicks or filters too.
In the past month I've had two packages that were handled by @USPS that were marked as delivered to my front door that were not delivered. I have a Nest camera on my front door to verify that no one delivered any packages on the days that it was claimed they were delivered.
@Jacksukku@Actually_Tina Yeah, save the bones and skin and leftovers and add to vegetable trimmings (the parts of onions, carrots, celery you’d normally throw away) and you can make stock for “free” and store-bought stock cost more than the rotisserie chicken.
@Actually_Tina Grilled chickens are $5.99 for 8 pieces at my local grocery store on Mondays. That turns out to be $1.50 for a two piece serving. If that’s splurging we’re in big trouble. Rotisserie chickens ($4.99 at Costco every day) can be even cheaper.
@Fistocrat@JeremiahDJohns But if you want to make something simple, like chicken, brocolli, a tortilla and “something else”, I tried that last week and it only costs around $5 a plate.
@Fistocrat@JeremiahDJohns I’m just saying, there are certain cases where it is more expensive to cook at home (my examples of occasionally cooking Thai or Indian food due to the cost of a variety of spices). That said, I totally agree there are many many foods you can cook for cheaper than DoorDash.
@Fistocrat@JeremiahDJohns It can definitely be more expensive to cook at home if you’re occasionally ordering cuisines with a lot of (not easily sourced) spices or ingredients like Thai and Indian food. The BLT example is terrible tho because you probably break even after just one or two BLT’s.
