इस घटना को प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने अपने मासिक रेडियो कार्यक्रम 'मन की बात' में उल्लेखित किया, जिसमें उन्होंने 'विकास भी विरासत भी' के मंत्र को दोहराया। उनके अनुसार, जब हम अपनी विरासत पर गर्व करते हैं, तो दुनिया भी उसका सम्मान करती है। इस वापसी को भारतीय संस्कृति और इतिहास के प्रति वैश्विक सम्मान के रूप में देखा जा रहा है।
