Lack of safety is not only when a rape happens. That is actually the worst possible scenario.

Eve teasing.
Lecherous staring.
Stalking.
Unsolicited dick pics.
Sexual innuendos at the workplace.
“Politely” asking for sexual favours.
“Accidental” brushing of hands in public places.
Molestation.
Acid attacks.
Attempted rape.

A single of hint of this sends a shiver down their spine. Fight or flight mode is perpetually activated.

Speak to more women. With an open mind. Before jumping to be defensive. There will be no solution to this if the educated man doesn’t first understand the problem at hand.
