Plenary 7: Harnessing AI for New and Emerging Healthcare Challenges
Plenary Session 7 explored how Artificial Intelligence can be leveraged to address new and emerging challenges in healthcare delivery, with a focus on expanding access to quality care in underserved communities. The session examined practical AI use cases, infrastructure and workforce readiness, and opportunities to bridge persistent gaps in healthcare service delivery.
The session featured a keynote address by Shri Madhukar Bhagat, Joint Secretary (E-Health), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The discussion was moderated by Ms. Neha Jain, IAS, Special Secretary, Department of IT & Electronics and Managing Director, UPDESCO, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
The panel brought together distinguished leaders and experts, including Dr. Lakshmanan S., IAS (MD, National Health Mission, Assam), Shri Ananth Dwivedi, IAS (CEO, State Health Agency, Jammu & Kashmir and MD, ABDM J&K), Prof. (Dr.) C. M. Singh (Director, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow) and Shri Aditya Vivek Patkar (Director & CEO, Plus 91 Technologies Private Limited).
