@tfl this is ridiculous now. My son had to walk today because his payment card got declined, which he shouldn't even need to use because he can't renew his 16+ card and apparently they aren't included in the list of cards that should be accepted until November.
Been thinking about writing some blog posts on career related topics, but can't decide whether to post on Medium or LinkedIn. If you post on either, which do you prefer and why? I considered Medium and linking from LinkedIn, but I guess LinkedIn restricts reach if you do that?
@AdamRamsay@TheGreenParty@faizashaheen There's probably interest from local greens given they stepped down (against the national party's wishes) to back her campaign in 2019. Not sure how many of those greens are still in the party though. I'm guessing a lot of local ex-labour members are also in need of a new home..
Was thinking this yesterday. Greens are coming 2nd in a number of London suburbs now. With more active members and resources, Greens could be a viable alternative in a lot of places. If Faiza Shaheen joined the Greens, would it help or hinder her future campaigns?
I do so hope that @TheGreenParty can find a way to persuade @faizashaheen to join and then get her elected to parliament alongside a slew of London Green MPs next time. https://t.co/YVaI77AvdJ
I wonder what the percentage is for MPs swearing vs affirming when they're sworn in, how it differs per party, and how it compares to the UK general public ratio of religious vs atheist.
Is Diane Abbott okay? She looked unwell giving her Mother of the House speech just then during #PMQs, I know she has diabetes, shaking can be a symptom of that.
You smug bastard Iain Duncan Smith, how do you have the balls to say you'd have won that even if Labour and Fazia Shaheen hadn't split the vote. That kind of dishonesty or lack of humility is exactly why nobody likes you. Most of your constituency voted against you.
Greens 2nd in Walthamstow, a massive swing, but again, not hugely surprising. WIth everyone so confident of a Labour win everywhere, all those naturally Green voters actually voted green.
Wow, Labour and Faiza Shaheen completely split the vote down the middle. IDS Still my MP in Chingford & Woodford Green. What a clusterfuck that was. Glad I voted Green Party and let them get on with it. #GeneralElection2024
Labour forgot the 2015 results. There was a huge surge in green votes back then in Bristol, a lot of voters leant their votes to Labour in 2017/2019, making their majorities look safer. Many people want to vote Green and when they do, big things happen. #GeneralElection2024
If I see the Greens win Bristol Central, Waveney Valley, North Herefordshire, and Brighton Pavillion, Corbyn win in Islington North, and Faiza Shaheen win in Chingford and Woodford Green, I'll be very very happy. #GeneralElection2024
And I wasn't comfortable voting for the Green Party candidate, but they deselected him anyway.
In the end I voted Green for national reasons, rather than individual, to show Labour that many people across the UK want Green policies and proportional representation.
Tough decision in Chingford & Woodford Green, with Labour and Faiza Shaheen pushing to get rid of IDS. Hard to tell if either have a genuine chance given the lying that parties resort to when trying to convince people to vote for them.
"Third Party" are a "non-party campaigner", but given the founder is a member & digital strategist for the Tories, his dad is in the House of Lords, and his mum is a former Tory MP, I can't imagine they ever run campaigns that don't help the Tory party.

I see The Hon. Thomas Borwick (formerly of Cambridge Analytica) is up to his old tricks, his "Third Party Ltd" company is paying for facebook ads that support the Tories, because they're worried Reform will split the vote in Chingford & Woodford Green.

Labour are back to what they were before the 2015 election. If Tory MPs are comfortably able to move to Labour, then both parties have people with no principles and no integrity, that make decisions based on what's good for them rather than what's good for the country.
