Cannot stress this enough. This is why I believe that words matter. People test the waters verbally long before any extreme action occurs, and you have to call them out for it, otherwise they'll continue and push the boundaries even further.
I can't stress this enough: From the top down, if the people responsible for today's events face no consequences for what they've done, the next time will be much worse. If a political line is crossed, either enforce its existence or accept that the line no longer exists.
@secondzeit@markeasterbrook I kept an eye on https://t.co/yKyb4LeAkH - they announce open days on here and if you have your own transport you can make a reservation there & go for free. Think I used visualping or similar to notify me when they announced new dates. Dates fill up fast.
Worth recalling that the latest, most comprehensive evidence shows sanctions absolutely do not get people back to work more quickly – indeed they may *slow down* that process, as well as causing misery to people and their children. https://t.co/0Lxnku3Ujv
My first time driving back home to napier since Cyclone Gabrielle back in Feb.
Was horrifying seeing the devastation still evident in Esk Valley. My heart goes out to those affected 💔
@pinkstephness You can talk though them to tell people to eff off, wireless, no ongoing costs.
Don't aim them where trees moving in the wind will trigger them constantly .
Sorry people are snooping, that's an ick feeling
@pinkstephness I have a eufy system, had it for a couple of years now. The night vision is pretty good. Sometimes it can be a bit slow notifying me of movement, but that might be my phone coverage rather than the app? You can program schedules of when you want it full arm mode vs home etc
@fizzanddumpling Since she's got a half & half kinda thing goin on, how about a beret/schooly type hat with 1 half decorated like a kindergartener has been let loose with glitter & sequins, other half serious/plain? And if her hair is long enough, 1 side a pigtail, other side a french plait?
