@skatterbrainzz @chocolateynuget If you are running Chocolatey CLI v1.2.0 or later, and know before installing a package that you want it pinned. Then you can also run `choco install packageName --pin` to pin that package immediately.

@_AllThingsTech_ @chocolateynuget You can technically install Chocolatey CLI on a mac. However, do note that installing/upgrading/uninstalling packages won't work. It will mostly be useful for creating new packages or packing scripts into a package. It is also a scenario we do not officially support.
