okay, so you have an idea and now you need a team.

but first you need to figure out who you actually need, what you can afford to pay them, where to find them, how to interview them, and whether you’re hiring someone to solve a problem you haven’t properly defined yet.

then there’s onboarding. contracts, payroll, permissions, email addresses, who gets access to what, and apparently everyone needs a different set of tools.

and processes. you need processes. but someone has to build the processes, document the processes, and explain where the documentation lives because there are now three folders called “company docs” and nobody knows which one is current.

meanwhile, someone needs to manage the books, send invoices, follow up on invoices, answer customers, track spending, update the roadmap, and work out why you’re paying for a subscription nobody remembers signing up for.

also marketing. probably should do some marketing.

and somebody needs to own all of this, which means you need to define ownership, which means another meeting, which someone should probably take notes in.

anyway, somewhere in there is the thing you wanted to build.
