Anduril Founder @PalmerLuckey:
âA lot of people say: âI canât believe Palmer named his company after something from the LOTR⊠Tolkien hated war.ââ
âTolkien was not someone who was pro-war by any means⊠but he did believe in good and evil. He did believe in wars that needed to be fought.â
âOne of the interesting themes of [LOTR] is how the people who live far away from Mordor, they donât believe that these monsters exist.â
âAnd I think that describes a lot of Americans. Youâll talk to people that say: âI think that nobodyâs truly evil, that nobody deserves to die.ââ
âThere are a lot of people on the frontlines of conflicts who donât have the luxury of that⊠Someone whoâs looked evil in the eye canât pretend it doesnât exist.â

Minnesota is proof positive how broken âliberalâ ideology is.
In their haste to âcreate more equityâ, âright historic wrongsâ, âcelebrate diversityâ and all manner of other well established orthodoxy, they have instead, completely upended the rule of law, enabled rampant fraud while looking the other way and through their voting laws have broken down the integrity of their stateâs democracy.
Truly insane stuff going on there rnâŠ
Congrats to @coachfitz51
Shame he had to go through ALL this-at least he got cleared of any wrongdoing and got his name and reputation back!
Freakin ridiculous!
BREAKING: Chicago City Council has voted to protect ShotSpotter with a 33-14 defeat for Mayor Brandon Johnson.
This is a historic loss for Johnson, who canceled the contract, and a win for the vast majority of Chicago voters who supported this commonsense alert system.
Thank you to everyone who used @illinoispolicyâs Take Action tool to make your voices heard.

@FrazierFinds How about Bruno mars? Maybe the most Jackson 5 adjacent act in modern music. And I agree with your stance but when that uptown funk startsâŠIâm conflicted
I canât believe I have to explain whatâs happening here, but here goes. Elite students of Ivy League schools have glamorized oppression so much that they have now reached role play status to satisfy their fantasies. Here, the students have appropriated the suffering of Gazans and are cosplaying as living through humanitarian crisis. In their American make-believe story where Ivy League infrastructure sets the scene, the students play Gazans and the school administration plays Israel.
Israel (the school) is blocking their âbasic humanitarian aidâ in this play, and if they donât receive it soon, they will âdie of thirst and starvationâ (appropriating exact experiences of Gazans). They also destroy upper class buildings and claim them as âliberatedâ while the students repeat chants in zombie-like chorus, playing the roll of âfreedom fightersâ destroying Israeli infrastructure and claiming them freed. If Iâm alive in a world where people donât see the levels of perversion in this, I give up.
You donât see this in lower tier schools from kids of lower socio-economic standing because they arenât plagued with the guilt of privilege that theyâre seeking to launder through Middle East role plays of feigned suffering. This is as first world dystopia as it gets.
Meanwhile, these Ivy League students who can have much more than a glass of water and as much food as their stomachs can take are commanding the attention of the media and the entire American audience, while actual Gazans who need humanitarian aid are ignored. I still have to pinch myself that people donât see this.
FRESH DAILY HERALD SPORTS & MEDIA (7/13) -- Jim O'Donnell: A minority of one -- without more complete facts, Pat Fitzgerald is being railroaded https://t.co/SsEWZ8Prcc via @dailyherald
Everyone can now unfollow The Daily Northwestern, they got their traction, got their head on a stake.
Letâs be patient and see how all the sources check out when everything comes out. You can find some of these less juicy source points at the end of the @espn articles. From what I can see, the primary source: A kid with a documented and recorded vendetta admitting to exaggerating details with the goal of getting Fitz fired, then all those spited who piled on, some who have shown previous support of Fitz and his character since they played..
In my opinion: Less than great sources. đđœ
I do not condone bullying or hazing of any kind, but the locker room at any level is not a perfect place, Iâll wait while you name a place that is..
That doesnât make any of the alleged incidents, if factual, okay or free from consequence.
But Friendly reminder: You canât undo your rushed articles, and your click bait headlines that helped smear a good man. Everyone that wrote opinion pieces for attention, got their two cents in, and tweeted and piled on will think they played no part in this. The single raindrop never feels responsible for the flood, but you played your part.
Letâs all be better when it comes to peopleâs livelihood and reputations.
Leadership is being held accountable for things outside of your control. And of course, like his entire career, Fitz will handle this with the highest quality integrity and character.
Gutted by the news.
Was truly an honor to play for you @coachfitz51
đ§”My 5 years under @coachfitz51 as a Northwestern walk on to eventual team captain were incredibly formative for me as a young man. Coach Fitz emphasized respect, honesty and honoring NU. (1/7)
@bp22 Give @ConsensusNLP a try for this - great AI resource for pulling key insights from research papers. Have found it works really well for medical queries
Last summer I wrote a post for @bariweiss warning that financial deplatforming would be the next phase of online censorship. This has now arrived in Canada. We cannot allow it to become our future in the U.S. My latest for Bari Weiss:
