Sometimes an image stays with you for years.

When the first photo of Henry Cavill as Superman was released, it instantly felt iconic — Superman emerging from the vault, calm, powerful, unstoppable.

While working on this Absolute Superman piece, I couldn’t resist paying homage to that image. It’s my interpretation of that moment, pushing the energy and intensity a bit further.

Superman has always been one of my favorite characters to draw.
