În timp ce Serbia se luptă cu incendii uriașe, oameni care rămân fără apă, case amenințate, animale în pericol și familii care nu știu ce vor mai găsi când se întorc acasă, autoritățile române privesc totul de pe margine.

Pentru ce mai suntem vecini și oameni unii pentru alții dacă, atunci când nenorocirea lovește la câțiva kilometri de noi, ne uităm în altă parte❓

Mi se pare absolut revoltător.

România ar trebui să fie printre primele state care întind o mână Serbiei în astfel de momente.
Apă, pompieri, echipamente, ajutor pentru oameni și pentru animalele rămase fără adăpost.

🚨 Iar dacă autoritățile noastre aleg să stea cu mâinile în sân, atunci fac un apel către românii care pot ajuta:

Dacă aveți posibilitatea să donați apă, alimente, hrană pentru animale, echipamente sau bani către organizații serioase care ajută victimele incendiilor din Serbia, faceți-o❗

În fața unei asemenea nenorociri nu ar trebui să existe granițe, politică sau calcule.

When Călin Georgescu unexpectedly surged into the second round of the 2024 presidential election, many assumed Romania's political establishment had been caught completely off guard.

Pascal points to a press conference held by then-Bucharest mayor — and now Romanian President — Nicușor Dan on the night of the first-round vote.

She argues that what has subsequently emerged fundamentally changes the timeline surrounding the annulment.

If that interpretation is correct, the implications are enormous.

Because this would no longer simply be a question of authorities reacting to an unexpected election result.

It raises the far more serious question of whether preparations affecting the democratic process predated the vote itself.

Remember what ultimately happened:

The presidential election was annulled.

Millions of votes were voided.

Georgescu was later prevented from standing in the rerun.

And Romania eventually elected a different president.

I travelled to Romania precisely because there were questions surrounding this election that deserved answers.

Those questions have not disappeared.

They are getting bigger.
