ZLX, a Glasgow tax firm, told a client they could claim £30,000 in R&D tax relief. For installing a fridge.

My government is trying to do two incompatible things simultaneously. On the one hand, it’s trying to fix our broken welfare system while saving money. This is not possible, and I told the minister in parliament today that her £5billion cut to disability support would increase hardship in my constituency and is contrary to the values of my party.
Ultimately, this Labour government is facing hard limits in doing what is right for our class while appeasing the interests of big business and the wealthy. They are incompatible aims and my party must choose in whose interests we are governing.
Thangam Debbonaire sometime in the past: "This has been rewarding cronies, and that's just not on, and Keir Starmer would never do that, he would never exploit the honours system to do what Boris Johnson has done"

I always believed under a Labour Govt this kind of gross human rights violation would never happen - a 77 year old woman climate protester recalled to prison (after released) because her wrists too small to fit electronic tagging bracelet.
Yet here we are with PM Keir Starmer.
With huge sadness I’m resigning as VP of the RSPCA, a role I’ve held with pride for over 15 years. But their Assured Schemes risk misleading the public & legitimising cruelty. I tried with @ChrisGPackham to persuade the leadership to act but sadly failed https://t.co/a3XIqw1HE9
It is with enormous sadness that I have resigned from my role as president of the RSPCA . I would like to register my respect and admiration for all the staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to protect animals from cruelty . Thank you

Back in June, then Labour MP for Bristol Thangam Debbonaire was "enraged" when Green activists suggested she'd be put in the Lords if she lost.
Six months later - that is, today - Thangam Debbonaire has been put in the Lords.
As Green activists said would happen!
