Mathematics Teacher, IT professional + life, photography and travel, whatever makes the planet and each of us 'tick'. Opinions my own, RT not endorsement
@stevage1 Great talk Steve ๐ Open Data on Radio Melbourne is a good step forward! Takes me back a few years working with @VicRoads data, Data Vic and the Open Knowledge team. Best wishes for Trainle and successors
@greg_ashman Internet email abt 1992, working for large IT org; tho not many to email. Then Gopher via early Win + Trumpet Winsock TCP/IP in late 1994. Then along came Mosaic, which changed the world. Winsock was from a small Tas dev - we built good SW then๐ค
@greg_ashman Well understood in management theory for the last century. I was politely told that I was studying education theory and that had no alignment with management theory. I have enjoyed your comments on current teacher education๐ Congratulations on school VCE results 2/2
@greg_ashman Thanks Greg - do any of these studies factor in the Hawthorne Effect? I undertook secondary mathematics teacher training as a (very mature) career changer in Melb, 2016. I questioned some of the pseudo evidentiary claptrap, and several times referenced the Hawthorne Effect. 1/2
@east_asia_forum @yun_aus Well argued. Have lived and travelled extensively in China (although Mandarin still defeats me). Many times a positive perspective on the people or even (God forbid) the government gets me slapped with being a โCCP apologistโ. Pathetic; it doesnโt help us.
Thank you @Qantas for sorting out my little booking problem. I commend your Customer Service staff member on the Twitter DM line, NA, for their help and persistance in getting this sorted. One for their file!
Hey @Qantas - I need help with a flight booking on Monday - your web help form is experiencing a 'problem' and the agent chat pop up function isn't functioning. Please will you DM me an email address to get it sorted. I am out of Australia. Thanks ๐
Hey @CommBank - card ordered Wednesday this week at Richmond Vic branch was in my PO Box on Friday - credit where credit is due ๐ค impressive process with @auspost also playing along well - 2023 going well!
@ACSnewsfeed Excellent article on the ACS โturnaroundโ. Been a member for > 40 yrs and seen both the best and the worst of the Society. I have new confidence in the directions being set by @Veinesque, Nick Tate, Roger Clarke and Rod Dilnutt, among others.
@kclepley Thank you ๐ Itโs pretty impressive on the ground as well ๐ scenes along the Lunmin Highway from Luntai to Mingeng on a road trip back in 2012
