@CasualBirderPod First birds heard in upstate New York, USA were white throated sparrows and an American Robin starting day two of attacking his own reflection in my windows on this foggy day.
@CasualBirderPod 1. Sharp-shinned Hawk right outside my kitchen window. Upstate New York, USA
2. Pileated woodpecker
3. Chevrons of Canada Geese overhead. Early spring migration or just some local resettling?
4. Female and male Northern Cardinal bonding
5. Kinglet floofing itself for warmth
@EADHistory Sacco said he meant to just spend a bit of time there and do a short piece but then ended up staying like a year and digging in deep. It was impactful in my Env Humanities class last year. There are some 4-5 page sections or non-sequential pages you could prob use this semester.
#envhum and #envhist colleagues: any text suggestions (book, video, audio, digital) for an upper div course in Env hum that work well for mixed undergrads with both strong and weak STEM backgrounds? My class is taken by English majors and Env Stud/Bio majors in equal numbers.
