My grandfather died last night. We weren't particularly close -- the side effect of geographical distance -- but he was a constant presence throughout my entire life and I am completely reeling and confused
Everyone keeps telling me to feel all the feelings and just keep pushing through, that there's an end to it, and I know that's what I have to do, but I don't even remember what it feels like to feel normal anymore. Does it even exist?
ever get so humbled walking through a forest of impossibly giant sequoia trees that you have to stop and sob over the fact that you don’t feel good about anything except that when you die, you’ll get put in the same ground they grew from?
anyway vacation’s going great
just a little PSA on this locked TL of mine that I feel absolutely insane with grief and confusion and anxiety and I'm having a lot of trouble functioning so if I am more out of touch than usual please don't take it personally
in retrospect, I don't know why I thought packing for an 11 day trip in one carry on suitcase the hour before I had to leave and the day after a (second, real) breakup WOULDN'T be stressful
